2010: The Year of Doing

Thu Feb 25, 2010, 5:34 PM
Tagged by :iconmikazuki-dono:

2010 is the year of chocolate eclairs, toaster robots, half-dwarven barbarian-bard multiclasses and most importantly DOING!

Rules (They're more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules.)
* Post these rules.
* Each tagged person must post 10 things you WILL do eventually in 2010.
* At the end, you have to choose and tag 10 people and post their icons on the same journal.
* Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.
* No tag-backs.

10 things I will do in 2010:
1. Pass all my classes, goshdarnit.
2. Get a job.
3. Sketch at least once a week.
4. Finish the prologue of that little story I have up, and begin work on the main bit.
5. Find a new circle of friends, since the old ones are four hours away =(
6. Find three new bands to like.
7. Create a truly useful program of some sort (or program a game.)
8. Go 10-0 or better in a DotA game.
9. Eat a food I've never tasted before.
10. Try to actually find ten people to tag 0_o

And on that note:

So what if the last one is a plz account? That's ten, madame, and I'm taking my fish and going home. :shakefish:

I dun haz mah tablet no more.

Yer, time to finally update anyone who cares about my situation artwise.

I recently transferred schools. My old school had provided me with:
A) A tablet.
B) A printer-scanner.

My new school provides neither. So, the likelihood of uploads by myself is very slim until some purchases are made.

Also, I'm currently commuting to my new school, living with my parents. Our computers are all located in the living room; I don't have much privacy on them. So it's unlikely I'll have the blocks of time necessary to do any writing or art on the desktops either.

I'll stay as active as I can, but for the most part, that will mean lurking and perhaps a comment or two.

Hope you all have a nice spring!

Miniature Resolution

Sat Jan 2, 2010, 3:27 AM
So it's New Year's (happy New Year's), and I want to make a resolution. Not any of that silly self-betterment business, but something doable that I wanted to do anyway. From now until I go back to school, I'm going to be doing a sketch a day. Considering how badly I've been abusing the wee hours of the morning, this shouldn't be too hard.

I'd like to improve in my silly little drawings. Improvement requires practice, but I have a huge aversion to treating my pleasure activities as work, so expect junk with subject matter, probably not any pure studies unless I'm feeling unusually proactive. They may end up in either scraps or in the gallery main (if one could call it that), so if you want to see them all, tick the little box.

My head is currently swimming, so that's it for now. The first one is already up. Have a nice 2010!

Tagginations

I KNEW no good would come o' deviant folk and their taggin' machines!

Ahoo...so :iconzap284: got me with his infernal contraptions, and I have nothing better to do.

So, I have to post 10 things about myself. And err..if you want tagged, leave a comment saying so, lol.

1) Anyone reading this probably already knows that I like women of unusually muscular proportions. But I also love big hips, which kinda puts me in conflict with reality T.T
2) I'm 6'3" (metric 1.9m) in real life. Yay?
3) My current avatar (the red wand) is an item from the popular WC3 mod DotA, called Dagon. It makes people go boom :D
4) I've dropped out of Calculus twice :(
5) I aspire to be a programmer someday soon, preferably of games.
6) I'm a cynic, and a christian. But the funny thing is, I think I'm a Christian BECAUSE I'm a cynic. Figure that one out.
7) I like metal for the power it brings, but I don't think it should be exempt from concepts like harmony and melody.
8) Despite being thoroughly not a goth, I enjoy their music and dress. Though it seems no one agrees on what defines "goth", soooo....
9) I play brawl like a man. [link]
10) I've had Vodka before, but never beer. Heh.

Hmm. That's it. Merry Christmas, peoples!

Ugh. I can't stand it when my journal holds something that's been irrelevant for weeks. Instead, I'll implement a pseudopoll.

In fantasy, do you generally prefer a more fantastic setting, or a more realistic setting?

High magic or low magic? Should magic be extremely powerful or more mundane?

Should the world generally resemble Earth, or be more surreal in its landscapes?

Should an author make their own races, or take their own spin on existing mythological beings?

Not that I don't already have my views, but it's more fun than nothing. Go ahead, speak your mind.
